I was inspired by Tik this weekend and decided to give clicker training a try with my horse! My timing wasn’t perfect, but overall he really enjoyed it and picked up target work super quickly. It even helped him work through a spook—over a hula hoop, of all things! By the end, he was confidently touching it and clearly proud of himself for earning a click and a treat. We’ll definitely be doing more of this!

Hi Jennifer, I don't have a video of this exact example. However, it sounds like the issue is related to a horse wanting to go back to the barn, or "barn sour" behaviour. In that case, I highly recommend this series with Chelsea Canedy. I have used these techniques on my horse when he doesn't want to leave the in-gate, and it works! https://noellefloydplus.com/programs/chelsea-canedy-teaches-training-the-barn-sour-horse

Go Tik Go! It was nerve-racking to watch when he left the arena, but then I saw how calm and in control he was, and I felt better. He's so fun to watch, and you can learn so much in each moment. Excited to see how he's introducing fences. I agree with the announcer – this could be Tik's edge in this competition.
