I really miss the old NF, back when we were able to see ALL the reactions of the horse, so we could learn along with the handler. It's so frustrating when Tik asks Diane, "did you see that?" and we can't see it because the camera was focused on the people. I just want to see the horse and the person working with him! I've brought this to light before, after watching the "docuseries." Can we get you to fix this for us? It's worthless if we can't see both horse and handler, each step of the way! I just want to learn, and the "new and improved" NF, where the emphasis seems to be more on making the videos cinematically beautiful --  with multiple cameras, constantly changing shots, and dramatic music -- has much less educational value than it did before, and is now making me question my annual membership. You really can't call these Masterclasses anymore. They're not really "classes," they are movies. I have other online instructional memberships that I can rely on if I cancel this one.

I wonder if NF+ can standardize the volume on the various series? The volume varies so much between video series. Same with the podcast - on that, especially, I'm constantly having to adjust my volume within each podcast.

I thought we were going to learn about the different kinds of bits, what they are used for, etc, in a lecture format?  This is just a bunch of case studies. I don't have time to watch all the case studies to get the basic info I need. Disappointed with this series.

This is really cool. Love the horse and his curiosity!

These videos are certainly artful and visually appealing. However, I’m frustrated because, like some of the Josh Nichols’ videos, this isn’t as instructional as original NF videos like Tik’s trailer loading or Chelsea’s groundwork. NF is supposed to be an educational platform, so it’s disappointing when Tik says “that look right there” about the horse, but the camera shows only Tik - and we never see “that look.” There are many more examples of that type of “miss” in this video. Without the practical, visual instruction, this is basically a documentary. I’ve commented before about this, and I appreciate acknowledgement I’ve received from NF+ staff, but I hope we’ll see some changes to maximize our learning. I’ve had a membership for two years, and while it is nice that the “new” NF+ is more polished, I hope NF doesn’t choose polish over practical. It will be difficult to justify renewing my membership if I’m not learning because the camera isn’t showing me.

Great video series here. The camera work is good, allowing us to see what Hanna is doing as Josh is instructing her. Thank you! And oh boy, I cried with Hanna. Her love for this mare is evident.

But oh my gosh, Liz made me cry!

So frustrating....this video, too. He's giving her instructions and she's moving the horse but the camera is focused on Josh. I know I already mentioned this in video 2, but this kind of camera direction is in all three videos. I wonder if it's in all his videos. I'm going to look. I so badly want to see what she's doing!

Stephanie Warner thank you for allowing us to provide feedback to help make NF+ even stronger.

This is really great. But I'm wondering if NF+ can improve the camera view and angles....lots of times, you can't see what Josh or this woman is doing with the horse. There's times when Josh is doing something with the horse, but the camera is on the woman, or Josh or the woman is doing something, but the horse is between the camera and the person, so we can't really see what they're doing. It's a little frustrating for me, because I'm having a difficult time understanding what he's doing and I think seeing it would really help. It's so important that we be able to see what he's instructing her to do in order for us to learn. Thank you!
