I’m really enjoying this series so far! I love seeing real people tackle real problems. Even though the horse in this example is younger, I can definitely apply everything Tik spoke about to my older gelding. Growing up, I feel like I didn’t learn enough about how we communicate with our horses, both intentionally and unintentionally, and it’s never too late to start adding more groundwork and building a relationship with your horse at any age. I’m looking forward to the other episodes of the series!

Lainey is definitely one of my favorites! She has such a down-to-earth vibe, and I really admire her approach to horsemanship and conditioning. It’s so important to talk about setting our horses up for success rather than expecting them to be perfect without enough preparation. It feels unfair to put that pressure on them without doing the necessary work. This topic definitely needs more attention! Loved this episode!
